The Mark III has already begun collecting some early reviews that rave over the camera’s capabilities, like this one at The Phoblographer and this one by Justin Kauffman. The latter had this to say:

This camera has quickly become one of my favorites I’ve ever used. When it comes to quick hikes or trips where I need to save weight, I find myself reaching for the E-M5 Mark III every time. This body also has a ton of features that are similar to the E-M1X so it makes me feel like the slight trade off in weight-to-performance is worthwhile on those specific missions that require a lighter set up.

My final favorite take away is that the battery life of this camera has been fantastic. Even in cold conditions it continues to hold its charge incredibly well and I’ve never had it die on me in a situation where I needed it.

The E-M5 Mark III releases November 21st, 2019 and can be pre-ordered for $1,200 on Amazon (price is for the body alone) in your choice of silver or black colorways. You might also consider adding the ECG-5 grip ($169) made specifically for this camera.
