The Game: Inside the Secret World of Major League Baseball’s Power Brokers

While I was at Barnes & Noble a few weeks ago, I stumbled across a book I had not seen before. It was called The Game: Inside the Secret World of Major League Baseball's Power Brokers. After reading the synopsis, I immediately pulled out my iPhone and purchased it for Kindle.

The book is about Major League Baseball beginning in 1992. The game was on the verge of breakdown. The owners and players are coming off an owner lockout in 1990, but headed towards a player strike which will eventually cancel the 1994 World Series. Three of the most powerful men in baseball (Commissioner Bud Selig, Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, and union leader Don Fehr) begin to work together to save the game and turn it into a powerhouse that makes everyone rich in the process.

You can purchase it for $14.99 for Kindle or iBooks
