Razer “Stream Controller X” Macro Keypad
Similar to the highly popular Stream Deck by Elgato, Razer's new Stream Controller X — a follow-up model to the original Stream Controller from last year — is a customizable 15-button keypad that lets you program shortcuts and macros for controlling all sorts of things for your streaming and content creation needs, or simply to enhance your productivity in other ways.
Each of the switchblade keys can be assigned a series of Loupedeck-supported actions that chain together to form a “profile,” helping the user automate and streamline everyday tasks such as...
- Putting up overlays, generating sound effects, or running commercials while streaming.
- Starting a stream while automatically turning on all the necessary lighting and opening all the programs you need to make it all work smoothly.
- Quickly switching between tools and workflows in a wide variety of image/video/audio editing apps (Photoshop, Affinity Photo, Lightroom CC, Gimp, Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro, Audacity, etc).
- In Slack, selecting channels or muting yourself on calls.
- Editing Excel spreadsheets and/or Powerpoint slides.
- ...the list goes on.
The Stream Controller X can be used by itself with an 8° viewing angle while resting on your desk, or you can snap it onto the included magnetic stand that offers a 50° viewing angle and has a non-slip surface underneath to keep the device in place.
As of April 18th, 2023, the Stream Controller X is already temporarily out of stock on Amazon — but when it returns, you can expect to pay around $150–$160 for it.
