Ozeri Touch Professional Digital Kitchen Scale
If there was such a thing as "the iPad of coffee scales", the Ozeri Touch would be it. The scale's glossy black tempered-glass surface and touch-sensitive buttons certainly lend to the effect, and even the specs are somewhat similar:
Ozeri Touch | iPad Air | |
---|---|---|
Height: | 9.1" | 9.4" |
Width: | 5.9" | 6.6" |
Depth: | 0.6" | 0.29" |
Weight: | 1 lb | 1 lb |
But more than its good looks, the Ozeri Touch works nicely for making coffee. Two things to keep in mind:
- In "gram" mode, it only measures to the gram, rather than 0.1 gram increments. Not a big deal for us, but might matter to others.
- Though the tempered glass is tough stuff, if you're going to brew coffee directly on the thing I would place a kitchen towel over the surface and tare ("zero out") the scale first.
