“nutpods” Dairy-Free Almond and Coconut Creamer for Coffee and Tea

Prefer to take your coffee or tea with cream but simply can't do dairy? You ought to give “nutpods” a try.

A product that got its start on Kickstarter back in 2013, nutpods is an oddly named but delicious non-dairy creamer made from a recipe involving mostly almonds and coconut cream, somehow creating a pretty close match to the rich taste and creamy consistency of half-and-half. (I don't pretend to know the science, all I know is that it works.)

They've got all the typical flavors (all of which are unsweetened) like...

...but then they also have seasonal (still unsweetened) ones like:

There are also a couple of oat-based creamers that don't include any nuts or nut-derived products, but they are made in the same facility as the almond-based creamers, so those with serious nut allergies should still exercise caution.

What's nice about nutpods is how versatile it is. You can froth the stuff if you prefer that sort of drink to get you going in the morning, or you can use it in recipes. Sky's the limit. And what's more, the packaging is as plant-based as the creamer itself, so...y'know, good feels all around.

Their four-bottle packs of creamer run for about $13–$14 each.
