Glitch Textiles
I recently stumbled across a cool studio called Glitch Textiles, which is run by Brooklyn-based artist and designer Phillip David Stearns. What he does is design various woven items with "glitchy" digital effect patterns, which are then manufactured using computerized Jacquard looms in the US (for cotton items) and in Holland (for merino items).
He sells three main types of products:
- Woven blankets/throws (most are $225; marked down from $275 as of 01/23/2017)
- Throw pillows ($125 each, marked down from $150 as of 01/23/2017)
- Woven scarves — ($75–$225, depending on which scarf you choose)
These items are a great way to add an eye-popping splash of tech-y color to your home, workspace, and/or wardrobe. Browse around the Glitch Textiles site and pick something awesome for yourself.
