“Crisbee Stik” Cast Iron Seasoning Oil Applicator
If you're like us, you already have a cast iron seasoning routine that works just fine. However, if you do like to try new methods from time to time, you might consider the Crisbee Stik, a cast iron seasoning that looks like a deodorant stick.
This is probably the most convenient way to season a pan I've ever seen — no need for pouring oils or swiping paper towels through a tub of Crisco. Just apply a little (and I do mean a little) and go through the rest of your process as normal.
It's made from a blend of soybean oil, beeswax, and palm oil. The palm oil is the one thing that puts me off about this product, but they do claim that it's sourced from a member of the Roundtable of Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), which from my limited research is a somewhat controversial organization. If palm oil is a concern for you, do your homework and see how you feel.
Alternatively, they also offer a similar product called the Larbee Stik, which is an animal fat-based seasoning made with leaf lard and beeswax. It's pretty highly reviewed as well, so that may work better for you.
In any case, the Crisbee Stik and Larbee Stik are $15 and $13 on Amazon, respectively.
