ZAGG Pocket Keyboard

When it comes to writing with an iPad, you’ll have to pry the Belkin QODE out of my cold, dead fingers. But, I’ll admit it’s not the best solution if you do a lot of writing on an iPhone, especially on the go.

The ZAGG Pocket is the ideal solution here. This tiny foldable keyboard offers over 85% the space of a typical keyboard, but can reduce down to a slim rectangle shape for super-easy stowing in a bag or jacket pocket. It folds this way with a horizontal hinge between rows of keys (between the A and Z rows) rather than an awkward, taco shell-style vertical center hinge.

When closed, built-in magnets keep the Pocket folded and turned off so it doesn’t waste power. When in use, a small shelf built into the stand portion folds out to hold your device.

Two versions of the ZAGG Pocket are available on Amazon:

  1. Universal ($58) β€” Compatible with both Apple and Android devices.
  2. Apple-only ($68) β€” Meant only for iPhones and iPads. I’m not sure why this one is more expensive, since it’s a smaller device that works with fewer devices.
