1080p is so yesterday.

The new Sony XBR-84X900 4K runs at a full 4x HD resolution. While there’s no content for that sized screen yet, Sony’s built-in a way for upscaling content that is supposed to be good enough that you won’t smash your new TV with a giant hammer.

It’s got Wi-Fi, a built-in array of 10 stereo speakers that are designed to mimic 5.1 surround sound, 3D capabilities and Sony’s SmartTV software.

And start saving those pennies. While Sony hasn’t announced a price, guesses from $16,000-$20,000 have been circulating online.
