The Big Red Fez by Seth Godin is the first book I ever read on website design. Yet it is so much more than just about pushing pixels and hypertext. This book is a very fast and fun read. Each spread offers a screenshot of a web page on one side, and an explanation of what is right or wrong about it on the opposite page. In typical Godin manner, Seth quickly articulates not only facts but also principles. I learned a ton from this book, and am constantly referring back to it, even when I’m not doing web design.
