Our sister site, The Sweet Setup, recently picked Scanbot as their favorite scanning app for iOS. We actually wrote about Scanbot a few weeks. Scanbot ($2, universal) is one of the newest entries in the scanner app category. When it launched, Federico Vittici was impressed primarily with the design of the app, but noted that it lacked some pro features of other apps. With a recent update, however, Scanbot now offers a $5 in-app purchase that makes the app much more powerful. That makes the whole thing $7, but it’s the only app in the category that meets all our criteria: simple, accurate scans with background uploading to a variety of cloud services, accurate OCR, and even simple editing usually reserved for PDF management apps.
