reNote Notebook

Thanks to a guest review on the Pen Addict blog this morning (written by Garrett Kubat), I got to find out about a cool new notebook called reNote. It’s made by the same guy behind the Pour Mason and the CINCH Wallet.

The reNote is made of re-used materials, with covers that are actually cut from food and drink cartons, and pages that appear to be taken from old stationery. As Garrett notes in the review, some of the pages still have some typography floating about, but for the most part it doesn’t seem like a huge problem.

Each reNote notebook is made by hand, and there are multiple styles to choose from. According to Garrett, the price breakdown goes like this:

reNote (standard cover logo) – hand assembled, staple binding:

- Journal – 5.5″ X 8.5″ – 20 pgs – 2 pk – $12

- Pocket – 3.5″ X 5.5″ – 20 pgs – 2 pk – $6

- Wallet – 2″ X 3.25″ – 10 pgs – 3 pk – $4.50

Vintage reNote (vintage cover logo) – hand assembled, hand saddle stitched binding:

- Journal – 5.5″ X 8.5″ – 20 pgs – 2 pk – $16

- Pocket – 3.5″ X 5.5″ – 20 pgs – 2 pk – $8

- Wallet – 2″ X 3.25″ – 10 pgs – 3 pk – $6

There doesn’t seem to be an official store set up for these notebooks yet, but Garrett was able to purchase some by emailing the designer, Joshua Epley, via his website.
