The upcoming Hybrid Chair by Studio Lorier would make an interesting addition to any home or office, particularly a small one where multi-purpose items are needed. It quickly transforms from an upright desk chair down into an ergonomic lounge chair, and vice versa. The frame is crafted from solid oak in the Netherlands, while the seat — which is upholstered with quality fabrics from Kvadrat in Denmark — will be available in four colors: green, coral, blue, and grey.

There are two models of the Hybrid Chair, both of which are available at special pre-order prices:

1. Comfort (€745 / ~$914 USD) — Must be manually set in the top or bottom position. Will retail for €1299 / ~$1,593 USD come April 2018.
2. Deluxe (€875 / ~$1,073 USD) — Can be set at any height thanks to a pneumatic piston triggered by pulling a handle under the armrest. Lowers while you’re sitting in it, raises when you’re standing. Will retail for €1599 / ~$1961 USD come April 2018.
