If you have ever done any CAT5 or CAT6 wiring, you know that putting on the ends can be a pain. The Platinum Tools EZ-RJPRO HD Crimp Tool is my favorite tool for simplifying the process. You’ll want to also purchase the EZ-RJ45 Cat 6+ connectors to go along with the crimper.

What makes this combination different is that you can feed the wire all the way through the connector and then the crimper will cut the stands off evenly. This will allow you to verify that the colors are in the right order and are fed through properly. The worst thing to happen when making ethernet cables is when it sorta works. This can easily happen with other types of connectors and crimpers.

It also has a built it cutter for flat and round cable, a built in stripper for round and flat cable, and it’s laser marked with a wiring guide for proper wire sequence.
