Outlook for iOS

Outlook for iOS is not necessarily a new product, but rather a rebranded one. The original name was Acompli, but Microsoft purchased it a few months ago. The question is, what makes Outlook for iOS unique?

The first is that the calendar is built in. No longer do you have to bounce around apps to check availability for appointments. It’s all right within the app. It can also notify people of your availability. This is probably my favorite feature by far. The calendar needs a few features added, but they are on the right track.

The second unique feature is that it supports Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, and OneDrive for attachments. Yes, a Microsoft product integrates nicely with Google Drive. Saving attachments is extremely simple. You can also save the attachments without downloading them first.

The last feature that it unique is how it works with attachments in your existing messages. The app scans your mailbox and shows you recent attachments along side your connected cloud services. This makes it easy to access recent attachments without having to go searching.

It’s free on the App Store.
