We’ve talked about OmniFocus before, and I’m excited to share the news that the OmniGroup has announced the next version of the GTD application for Mac.

Due out sometime in the first half of this year, the new Mac version takes heavy cues from the iPad version, including a new Review mode, a Forecast view and a unified sidebar.

OmniFocus 2 will run $79.99. The Standard edition of OmniFocus 2 will also run $39, but lack support for Perspectives and AppleScript. Current customers will be able to upgrade to the Standard edition of OmniFocus 2 for $19.99, or to the Pro edition for $39.99.
