Nomad’s “Inline” and “Outline” Watches

Nomad is a Glasgow-based watch company who are quite meticulous about designing beautiful, minimalist timepieces. Two of their watch lines, “Inline” and “Outline”, sport PVD-coated stainless steel cases, Swedish leather watchbands, and Swiss quartz movements, with the primary difference lying in their face markings:

The Inline moves all of the markings towards the centre of the dial leaving a clean outer band. The numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9 combined with the positioning and line weight of the hour and minute increments result in a beautifully minimalist dial.

The Outline combines the hour markings and all 12 numbers away from the edge of the dial, setting them within an array of elongated minute increments.

Both lines are pretty nice, though I would call the Inline more “minimalist” and the Outline more “striking”.

Here are the “Inline” watches…

…which are named for their colors (in case → face → strap order):

  1. Black/black/black
  2. Black/white/black
  3. Black/black/natural
  4. Black/white/natural

  6. Black/white/brown

And here are the “Outline” watches:

  1. Black/black/black
  2. Black/white/black
  3. Black/black/natural
  4. Black/white/natural
  5. Black/black/brown
  6. Black/white/brown
