We’re definitely fans of Mophie’s line of Juice Packs around here, because they keep our iPhones from dying when we need them most. And now, Mophie has just announced the Space Pack, which will offer the same power backup with the addition of onboard file storage.

Available in 16GB ($150) or 32GB ($180) models, the Space Pack can store all the same files that a typical flash drive could: music, movies, photos, documents, etc. These can be accessed directly from the iPhone 5/5s via Mophie’s upcoming ‘Space’ app, which will automatically organize everything for you. It will reportedly auto-save your photos too, similar to the Dropbox iOS app.

Keep in mind that it’s not adding storage capacity directly to your iPhone or anything — meaning you won’t suddenly be able to sync more songs to your device. But it might save you from having to carry a standalone flash drive around.

The Space Pack is available for pre-order and is expected to ship in March 2014.
