The folks behind the original (and quite successful) Kickstarter campaign for the Moment Lenses for iPhone are back with a new Kickstarter: the Moment Case for iPhone 6.

This case aims combine the iPhone’s unique touchscreen capabilities with features you’d expect on a standalone camera, such as a rubberized grip and the DSLR-like electronic shutter button that can be half-pressed to focus and full-pressed to shoot (or held down for burst mode). The case is also Moment Lens-ready, allowing you to attach and swap out lenses without having to attach a metal plate to the back of your iPhone like before. And last but not least, it lets you attach your favorite camera strap or sling.

As someone who loves shooting with an iPhone, I’m super excited to watch this project happen. As of this writing (Feb 2, 2015) they’ve already nearly tripled their $100k funding goal, with 24 days left to go.
