“Love is In Small Things” Illustrated Books (Parts 1 and 2) by Puuung

Six years ago I linked to the illustrations of South Korean artist “Puuung”:

Call me sentimental, but I find these illustrations by Korean artist “Puuung” — depicting various moments in a young couple’s relationship — endearing and poignant. On her Facebook page she describes her style thusly:

“Love” is something that everybody can relate to. And “Love” comes in ways that we can easily overlook in our daily lives. So, I try to find the meaning of love in our daily lives and make it into artworks.

I recently discovered that last year, she’d turned these lovely bits of art into a pair of books, aptly titled “Love is in small things.”

Volumes one and two are both 112 pages long and contain 100 full-color illustrations that are sure to warm your heart. Hopefully they’ll also bring back fond memories of the early days of your own relationship, or if you’re not in one yet, hope for what lies ahead.

You can get both editions in multiple formats —

Part 1:

Part 2:

There’s also a Korean hardcover set featuring both volumes ($43) if you want the best binding and everything. This is the kind of artwork that transcends language boundaries, so I wouldn’t worry about the lack of English captions.
