If you bought a Kindle over the weekend, we hope you picked up a case. While the e-ink screen is pretty tough, we feel better knowing our Kindles have a little protection.

With past Kindles, Amazon’s own cases have usually been the best, and this time around, it looks like they’ve done it again. The new leather case for the Kindle Paperwhite (the one we both ordered) comes in several colors, with black being the T&T favorite. Unlike the last generation, the new case has a magnetic latch to keep the case shut, that will auto-wake the Kindle when opened.

The new leather cover for Kindle Paperwhite ships with the new Kindles on October 1.
