Ivation 13-Pint Dessicant Dehumidifier for RVs and Small Spaces

You never really understand how important humidity control is until you’ve set up a dehumidifier in your space. As someone who moves their home between various humidity and temperature zones all the time — with several months a year spent bouncing around Florida — this has only become even more of a pronounced issue in my life.

This dessicant dehumidifier from Ivation came recommended to me by some fellowing RVing friends of ours, one of whom might just have me beat on the “product research” front (which is truly saying something). His words were something like, “Just get one, you’ll wonder why you didn’t sooner. You’ll see.”

He was right. In a small living space like ours, this thing can keep the humidity level pretty well at a constant, always staying within a small range of whatever RH percentage setting is put in (which can be changed in increments of 5%). You’d be surprised how much ambient moisture is hanging around a room until you’ve dumped the little reservoir the first time, after which you might only need to dump it every 3 or 4 days. YMMV.

What’s extra nice about this unit is that it produces a bit of gentle heat as it runs — enough to keep a small room cozy at night, or to help indoor-hanging laundry dry faster.

This thing is great, I highly recommend it. Get yours for $180 on Amazon.
