Apple’s new iPhone 5 was announced yesterday. It’s thinner and lighter than the iPhone 4S, as well as faster (thanks to the A6 processor) and larger (thanks to the 4-inch Retina display).

The iPhone 5 packs LTE capabilities in its thin frame. In the US, AT&T, Sprint and Verizon all will be supporting the faster network connections on the new device.

Apple’s stayed at the same on-contract prices, with the 16 GB model starting at $199, with 32 GB and 64 GB models available as well.

Pre-ordering begins this Friday, September 14, with the phone shipping and being available at retail stores at 8 AM on Friday, September 21.
