Inside Out doesn’t release in theaters for a couple more days, but the original motion picture soundtrack is available on iTunes now. It was composed by Michael Giacchino, whose work you’ve previously heard on other Pixar soundtracks such as The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and Up.

A few tracks on this album are standard orchestral film score fare, and there’s certainly nothing wrong with that, but I find the rest far more quirky and enchanting. I’d honestly say this is some of Giacchino’s best work, and now I’m even more excited to see the film this weekend. (It also works well as writing music, which I can attest to at this very second.)
