Flipboard 2.0

Flipboard is ubiquitous enough that it needs no introduction, so I’ll get straight to the point. They released version 2.0 of the app a couple days ago, and it comes with several neat new features, the biggest of which is the ability for users to create their own magazines that others can subscribe to.

Any article you come across can be added to one of your magazines with a couple taps, and it will automatically show up in your subscribers’ feeds. You don’t even have to be using Flipboard to add stuff to your magazines. They created a bookmarklet so you can “flip” articles from any web browser.

There are a few other features worth noting, such as article-commenting with full ‘@mention’ functionality (using Flipboard usernames, obviously), and a Recommended Reading section drawn from your activity on Flipboard. The app is still totally free, so it won’t hurt you to try it out if you haven’t already.
