Fitbit is seeking to overcome these limitations with the new Flex wristband. It should be significantly harder to lose than the company’s One device, and more powerful than Nike’s one-trick-pony Fuelband. Like the One, the Flex will track steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, and time slept. It also has a built-in vibrating alarm, and (of course) syncs with iOS, Android, and all Macs and PCs.
The Flex is available for pre-order now for $99.95, and comes in a range of colors. For homework, check out Engadget’s hands-on video.
