In light of the recent revisiting of the ‘Pillars of Creation’ in HD by NASA (in celebration of the Hubble Telescope’s upcoming 25th anniversary), we thought it would be fun to share these cosmic stoneware mugs crafted by pottery artist Joel Cherrico.

Each one is inspired by images of nebulae captured by the Hubble Telescope, and they look awesome. What’s more, they are totally functional and both microwave- and dishwasher-safe. They’re $85 a pop though, so they might be better served as gifts to the astronomy nerd in your life rather than something you’d fill your cupboard with.
