Calendars 5 for iOS
I’ve been a fan of Flexibits’ Fantastical since it released for iPhone a while back, but Readdle’s new (and universal) Calendars 5 is certainly great competition.
As with Fantastical, Calendars 5 allows you to use natural language to create events. For example, you can type something like “Meet Shawn at Blue Bottle Coffee every Wednesday at 3pm” and it will recognize exactly what you’re getting at, then create the event with all information plugged into the proper places.
This app is proudly designed with iOS 7’s UI philosophy in mind, meaning that there is very little clutter or chrome to get in your way — everything is simple and beautiful. Calendar 5 syncs with your iCloud reminders, so not only are your events and reminders shown inline together, there is also a built-in task manager.
Calendars 5 is available for an introductory price of $5 for this week only.
