Bose SoundLink Revolve+ Bluetooth Speaker

If you’ve been looking for a mid-range Bluetooth speaker that can fill a good-sized room with sound, Bose’s SoundLink Revolve+ ($299) fits the bill nicely.

Positioned as the “bigger brother” to the plain SoundLink Revolve ($199) — which is smaller and lighter, at the expense of sound quality — the Revolve+ offers a full 360 degrees of audio coverage, with a surprising amount of bass response and a generous battery life of 16 hours (compared to the smaller Revolve’s 12 hours).

Its omnidirectional design makes it so you can set it in the center of a room and consistently get great audio from anywhere you go in that space. But that’s not it’s only trick. Bose made it so you can accidentally knock this thing off a table or let it get splashed by the pool, and it’ll keep going strong.

It’s all covered thoroughly in this guy’s awesome video review:

One other trick is that you can use the Bose Connect app to link two of these speakers together — either in “Party” mode, where the audio output is the same across both speakers, or in the left/right “Stereo” mode.

And finally, where the plain Revolve has no carry handle to speak of, the Revolve+ has a flexible fabric handle that makes it easy to tote the speaker around.
