Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders
2016 is the 50th anniversary of the 1960s Batman television series. A couple years ago, fans were treated to the complete series on Blu-ray, never imagining that another movie based on the series would ever be made.
And yet, here we are. Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders is a new animated film that has Adam West, Burt Ward, and Julie Newmar reprising their roles as Batman, Robin, and Catwoman.
If you’ve been nostalgic for the lighthearted campiness of the 60s show, you’re going to love this movie. Watch the trailer here:
Not only is the animation gorgeous, but all the references, gags, and absurd dialogue you’d hope to see are here, and then some. They’ve even announced a sequel that will star William Shatner as Two-Face, a villain that never appeared in the original series.
