Anker 167.5W Max USB-C Car Charger

Before I bought Anker's PowerDrive 2 dual-port car charger back in 2016, I'd gone through a string of poorly made car adapters that all seemed to fail or literally fall to pieces within weeks or maybe months at best. Today, eight years later, I'm still using that same PowerDrive unit with no issues and would recommend it to anyone. Very happy with that purchase.

However, I've gotta say I'm tempted by their new USB-C car charger that offers up to 167.5W of total power output across three ports:

  1. Top: 100W USB-C
  2. Middle: 45W USB-C
  3. Bottom: 22.5W USB-A

That top port is the big selling point, IMO. Their testing says it's fast enough to charge a 16" MacBook Pro from 0 to 50% in 47 minutes, or an iPhone 15 Pro Max from 0 to 50% in 27 minutes. On those days when you leave the house and realize you forgot to charge your stuff overnight, that's going to be a lifesaver for sure.

If you're in the market for a car charger and want only the top of the line, get this sweet new one for $50 on Amazon. It comes with a 3.3-foot USB-C to USB-C cable.
