Thanks to an episode of Cortex, I discovered Alternote for Mac. It’s an alternative Evernote-style Mac app that uses Evernote as the syncing engine.

Yes, Yes, Yes

That is what I said after I spent ten minutes using the app. This is what Evernote should be. It’s fast, has a great UI, and better than the default Evernote app in just about every way. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have an inline PDF viewer, but I hear that is coming in Alternote 2. Alternote for iOS is also coming next year as well.
